Week 11 NFL Matchups

Houston Texans at Cleveland Browns
Fantasy Relevance: 4 – Ryan Mallett starts for the Texans this week, he is not a starter in standard leagues. I would avoid him in two quarterback leagues this week because it would be very risky to start him. Arian Foster is not expected to play; if he does there are questions about how much work he gets. If Foster plays you are probably starting him but expectations should be lowered. If Foster sits, hopefully you own Alfred Blue. Blue won’t be as good as Foster but this is a good matchup. DeAndre Hopkins and Andre Hopkins are flex starts, and if Foster is out it lowers their value. The Texans defense is a top ten start this week and has a lot of upside.
Terrance West and Ben Tate are the top running backs in Cleveland, West has a close advantage. Both are second running backs or flex plays. Isaiah Crowell is someone if you are desperate. Andrew Hawkins is a low end wide receiver four or someone in deep leagues. Josh Gordon returns next week, and that should help the entire offense. The Browns defense is close to a top ten start, and could do well against Ryan Mallett and possibly the Texans offense without Arian Foster.

Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers
Fantasy Relevance: 5 – Matt Ryan is a low end quarterback this week. He has a good matchup but the offense just hasn’t clicked much this year. Steven Jackson is a top fifteen running back this week and should do well. Antone Smith is only someone if you really need a running back or very deep leagues. Julio Jones is a top ten receiver this week and is a must start. Roddy White is a top twenty start and a good flex play. The Falcons defense should be avoided; this game could be low scoring but is tough to predict.
Cam Newton should be avoided, if quarterbacks like Robert Griffin III or Mark Sanchez are available add them. Newton is too unreliable and should not be starting for you in standard leagues. Jonathan Stewart is a flex play this week. DeAngelo Williams is only if you are desperate. Kelvin Benjamin is a top fifteen wide receiver, but his receptions have been low over the last four games. Benjamin’s fantasy value has been dependant on big plays so he has some risk. Greg Olsen is a top five start this week and should be good. Avoid the Panthers defense should also be avoided because they have looked terrible lately.

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears
Fantasy Relevance: 5 – Jerick McKinnon is a running back two this week. If Adrian Peterson returns, McKinnon loses most of his value; I encourage everyone to add Peterson but especially McKinnon owners. Matt Asiata is a flex running back where you hope for a few rushing attempts and a touchdown. Cordarrelle Patterson and Greg Jennings are low flex plays or wide receiver threes. Kyle Rudolph is probable and should play this week. He is a good tight end if you need a bye week fill in this week. He might have a slow return this week, but Rudolph could be a solid tight end for the rest of the year. I would add him if he is available. The Vikings defense is a top five start this week. They should be good against a Bears offense that looks bad.
Jay Cutler is a top fifteen quarterback, but is risky. The offense looks bad, but Forte, Marshall, Jeffrey, and Bennett still have been okay. Forte is still a must start. Marshall should be started, he has some risk but your other options are probably less, Jeffrey is about the same. Bennett is a top ten tight end and should be started. The Bears defense should not be started in any scenario.

Cincinnati Bengals at New Orleans Saints
Fantasy Relevance: 6 – Andy Dalton should be better this weekend, but still will be bad and should be avoided. Giovanni Bernard did not practice Friday, so it does not look like he will play. Jeremy Hill is a top fifteen running back, and should be a mix between the game against the Jaguars and Browns. It is troubling if Bernard doesn’t play because this Sunday will be three weeks since his injury with a lot of rest. A.J. Green should bounce back and is a top ten start. Sanu will also do better but is a flex play or wide receiver three. Jermaine Gresham is a low end tight end but someone if you need one.
Drew Brees is a top five quarterback and should be started. Mark Ingram is a top five start this week. Brandin Cooks is a top twenty five receiver and somewhat a sleeper for this week. Colston is a low end flex play this week, or a wide receiver three. Kenny Stills should only be started in deep leagues. Jimmy Graham is a top tight end this week. The Saints defense is someone if you are desperate, but I would avoid them.

Denver Broncos at St Louis Rams
Fantasy Relevance: 5 – Peyton Manning is a top quarterback and a must start. The running back situation for the Broncos is tough, C.J. Anderson is the best start and is close to the top twenty. Montee Ball is a top thirty running back and is a flex start. I would avoid Juwan Thompson is only a start if you are very desperate. Hopefully you can avoid all Broncos running backs this week. Demaryius Thomas is a top five start and Emmanuel Sanders is a top ten start. Both of these receivers should start for you. Wes Welker is only a start in large leagues. Julius Thomas is a must start at tight end. The Broncos defense is a great start this week and might be the best defense for week eleven.
Tre Mason is a top thirty start at running back and a flex play. Benny Cunnningham is a name if you are desperate at running back. Jared Cook is an okay tight end, but someone I would avoid if possible. Last week he only had two receptions, and they were just big plays. I don’t believe in him. Avoid the Rams defense no matter what.

Seattle Seahawks at Kansas City Chiefs
Fantasy Relevance: 3 – Russell Wilson is a top ten quarterback, and should have a solid game. For Wilson to have a great game, he needs to run. Marshawn Lynch should have a very good game, and is a must start. Doug Baldwin is a low end flex play or wide receiver four. The Seahawks defense is a good start this week.
Jamaal Charles is a top five start and should have a good game. Dwayne Bowe is a flex if you are desperate. This is a very tough matchup for him so I would bench him. Travis Kelce is a top ten tight end a I like him a lot this week. I think the Chiefs will rely a lot on him. The Chiefs defense is a top ten start. This game should be low scoring.

San Francisco 49ers at New York Giants
Fantasy Relevance: 4 – Colin Kaepernick should be good this week and is close to the top ten for quarterbacks. Frank Gore could have a very good play and is a top ten play this week. Anquan Boldin is a top twenty five start this week and should be good. Michael Crabtree is a wide receiver three or low flex start. Vernon Davis is only someone to start if you are desperate. I would start Rivera, Reed, and Rudolph over Davis. The 49ers defense is a top ten start and should do well against the Giants.
Eli Manning is only a start if you are desperate; this is a tough matchup for him. Rashad Jennings is a top fifteen running back this week and should have a good value the rest of the way. Odell Beckham Jr. is a top fifteen receiver this week and should continue to do well. Ruben Randle is a low end flex play. Larry Donnell is a top ten tight end this week and should be a good start. The Giants defense should be avoided this week in all formats.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Washington Redskins
Fantasy Relevance: 5 – Josh McCown should only be considered in two quarterback leagues. Bobby Rainey and Charles Sims are flex plays. Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson are top twenty receivers this week and both should be started. Austin Seferian- Jenkins is a tight end to keep in mind if you are desperate. The Buccaneers defense should not be started at all this week.
RG III should be a top ten start this week, this is a good matchup. Alfred Morris is a top ten start this week, and should continue to do well. DeSean Jackson is close to a top ten receiver and has a good matchup this week. Pierre Garcon is a flex receiver or wide receiver three. Jordan Reed is a low end tight one this week, it is tough because of the playing time Niles Paul has been getting. Reed has potential but is a risky start. The Redskins defense should be top twelve this week, and is a sneaky start.

Oakland Raiders at San Diego Chargers
Fantasy Relevance: 4 – Darren McFadden is a low flex start, and the only Raiders running back you want to start. James Jones and Andre Holmes are desperate flex plays and wide receiver fours. Mychal Rivera is a good bye week tight end replacement, and should be a low level tight end for the rest of the year. Avoid the Raiders defense because this matchup will be tough and that defense is not doing well.
Philip Rivers is close to a top five quarterback this week and should do well in this easy matchup. Ryan Matthews is a top fifteen running back this week and is a must start probably. Matthews is back and healthy which hurts Oliver, but Oliver still has value. Oliver is a very risky flex play this week. It is a risky situation because it is tough to gauge how many touches Oliver gets. I would avoid him unless I had no other options. Keenan Allen is a top twenty five receiver which is around the flex area. Malcom Floyd is a wide receiver three. Antonio Gates is a top five tight end and one I like a lot this week. The Charges defense is an okay start, and a sleeper defense if you are desperate.

Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals
Fantasy Relevance: 7 – Matthew Stafford is a top ten start this week. The matchup is tough but the game could be high scoring. Reggie Bush didn’t practice Friday and looks to be out. This helps Joique Bell and he is a top twenty start. Theo Riddick is a flex play, and might be available in your league. I would add Riddick if you need a running back. Calvin Johnson is a top five receiver and is a must start. Golden Tate did well with Johnson back, which is encouraging. Tate is a top fifteen receiver and also should be starting for you. Eric Ebron should only start for you if you are in a really deep league. The Lions defense is a top five start, and should do well.
Drew Stanton is only relevant in two quarterback leagues, and I would avoid him in all formats this week because of the tough matchup. Andre Ellington is a top ten start this week but also faces a tough run defense. Larry Fitzgerald is a flex start. Stanton at quarterback hurts Fitzgerald and Floyd a little, but it helps John Brown. Floyd and Brown should both be benched this week unless you are in a very deep league because of the matchup and growing pains. The Cardinals defense is around a top ten start but I am a little lower on them because of the Lions offense.

Philadelphia Eagles at Green Bay Packers
Fantasy Relevance: 7 – Mark Sanchez did very well against the Panthers but this matchup will be tougher. Sanchez is a top twelve start still but is risky. LeSean McCoy is still a top ten start, but his play is concerning. If you need to win now I think you should try and trade him because you just can’t wait for him to get better. Jeremy Maclin is a top five start and should do better after a disappointing game. Jordan Matthews is a flex play this week and has some upside. Zach Ertz should not start for you; if options like Heath Miller and Jared Cook are available I would start them over Ertz. The Eagles defense played well last week, but should be benched this week because of facing one of the best offenses.
Aaron Rodgers is a must start this week and should be great. Eddie Lacy is a top ten running back this week. Jordy Nelson is a top five receiver this week, and Randall Cobb is a top ten receiver. The Packers defense is a risky start and one I would avoid because of the uncertainty.

New England Patriots at Indianapolis Colts
Fantasy Relevance: 6 – Tom Brady is a top five start this week. Shane Verren is a top fifteen running back this week and is a must start. Jonas Gray should only start for you if you’re desperate, but he should be on your bench because of his potential. Julian Edelman and Brandon LaFell are low receiver twos and flex plays. Rob Grownkoski is a must start tight end. The Patriots defense should be avoided because this game should be high scoring.
Andrew Luck is a top five quarterback and is a must start. Amhad Bradshaw is a top ten running back this week. Trent Richardson is a flex play this week, and could be a sneaky start. T.Y. Hilton is a top ten receiver and should be started. Reggie Wayne is in the flex range this week, but if this game goes as expected he should get a fair amount of targets. Dwayne Allen is a top ten tight end this week and should be started. Coby Fleener is a sneaky play that is risky but has good upside. I would avoid the Colts defense this week because of the Patriots offense. If you have the roster room I would add the colts because the schedule for the next five games is against the Jaguars, Redskins, Browns, Texans, and Cowboys.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Tennessee Titans
Fantasy Relevance: 5 – Ben Roethlisberger is a top ten start and should do well against the Titans. Le’Veon Bell is a top five start this week and I think he gets a rushing touchdown this week. Antonio Brown is a top five receiver this week and a must start. Martavis Bryant is a top twenty five start and is a solid flex play. Heath Miller is an okay tight end if you are desperate, but has risk. The Steelers defense is a top five and has a lot of potential.
Bishop Sankey is a top twenty five running back and is a running back two. Kendall Wright is a low flex play, but is fine if you are desperate. Justin Hunter is an option if you are desperate or in a deeper league. The Titans defense should not be started, there should be better options available with more upside.
