Week 13 Matchups

Cleveland Browns at Buffalo Bills
Fantasy Relevance: 4 – Isaiah Crowell is a top twenty running back this week, the matchup is tough but he is still a running back two. Terrance West is a flex play this week but I would try to avoid him. Josh Gordon is a top ten receiver this week and is in must start territory I believe. Andrew Hawkins is a name to remember in deeper leagues or if you are out of options he could have a nice week. Jordon Cameron is expected to play; if he does then Cameron is a low tight end one. The Browns defense is one I would avoid, they will be okay but I think better options are available like the Giants, Ravens, Vikings, and Colts.
Kyle Orton is only someone to consider starting in two quarterback leagues. Fred Jackson is a running back two, and I think his workload should increase this week as he gets healthier. Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown are two players that don’t have much value now and are droppable unless you’re in a deep league. Sammy Watkins is a wide receiver two or flex play this week, he is a solid start. I like the Bills defense this week, it should be a lower scoring game and the Bills have been getting a lot of sacks.
San Diego Chargers at Baltimore Ravens
Fantasy Relevance: 5 – Philip Rivers is a top ten quarterback this week; I would take Eli Manning or Ryan Tannehill over Rivers but he is a good option. Ryan Matthews is a top fifteen start this week and should be started in most situations. Branden Oliver should only be considered if you really need a running back. Kennan Allen is a wide receiver two this week, and I like him. Allen is also a very good flex option. Malcom Floyd is an option in deep leagues around a wide receiver four. Antonio Gates is a top ten tight end this week. The Chargers defense is one I would avoid this week, this should be a higher scoring game.
Joe Flacco is a top fifteen quarterback this week, but I think he is a sleeper. Justin Forsett is a top five start this week, and is now in running back one territory. I like him a lot the rest of the year. Torrey Smith and Steve Smith are wide receiver in the wide receiver two and flex area. Owen Daniels is a lower tight end this week and the rest of the year. The Ravens defense is around the top ten this week and I like them, I see the Chargers offense struggling.
Carolina Panthers at Minnesota Vikings
Fantasy Relevance: 3 – Cam Newton is a low quarterback this week, the matchup is okay but the Panthers have really struggled this year. Jonathan Stewart is a running back two or flex play, and I like him this week. DeAngelo Williams is a name in deeper leagues to keep in mind if you need a running back. Kelvin Benjamin is a top fifteen play this week and is in must start territory. Greg Olsen is a top ten tight end this week; I like this matchup a lot for him. The Panthers defense has been disappointing this season, but I think they are a sleeper this week.
Jerrick McKinnon is a flex running back this week if he plays but he is not expected to play. Ben Tate and Matt Asiata have some more value, but it is tough to predict the amount of touches each back will have. I expect the Vikings to use the hot hand, so I would avoid both running backs if possible. Charles Johnson and Greg Jennings are wide receiver fours, and I would not start either unless I had to. Kyle Rudolph is a borderline top ten tight end; he should improve each week though. The Vikings defense is a top ten start this week, and I like them a lot.
Cincinnati Bengals at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Fantasy Relevance: 4 – Andy Dalton is only valuable if you are desperate at quarterback or in two quarterback leagues. Jeremy Hill is a top fifteen running back, while Giovani Bernard is around twenty. I prefer Hill this week, the rest of the season is very close. A.J. Green is a top five receiver this week, while Mohamed Sanu is a flex play. The Bengals defense is a top ten start this week, and I think they will do well.
Josh McCown is a quarterback if you are desperate, he is an okay option. Doug Martin and Charles Sims are flex plays this week, Bobby Rainey is lower than both of these backs but is still getting some touches. Mike Evans is a top fifteen receiver, while Vincent Jackson is a flex receiver. I would avoid the Buccaneers defense in all situations this week because of the potential the Bengals have.
Tennessee Titans at Houston Texans
Fantasy Relevance: 3 – Bishop Sankey is a flex play this week. Justin Hunter and Kendall Wright are low flex plays and lower wide receiver fours. Delaine Walker is a top five tight end this week. The Titans defense should be avoided in all cases because the Titans defense is just not very good.
Ryan Fitzpatrick is back at quarterback, but is still only valuable in two quarterback leagues. Arian Foster should be back this week, and is a must start in a great matchup for him. DeAndre Hopkins is a wide receiver two this week, well Andre Johnson is a flex play. The Texans defense is a top five start this week and I think they will do great.
Washington Redskins at Indianapolis Colts
Fantasy Relevance: 4 – Colt McCoy is back as the starter, but is only valuable in two quarterback leagues and I would avoid him in all formats this week. Alfred Morris is a top ten running back this week, and I think he will do well against the Colts. DeSean Jackson is a top fifteen receiver this week. Pierre Garcon is a low wide receiver three and I would not start him. Jordan Reed is around a top ten start but is questionable. Niles Paul is around the top fifteen for tight ends. I would avoid the Redskins defense no matter what.
Andrew Luck is a must start and should be good. I prefer Daniel Herron to Trent Richardson but it is very close, and both are flex plays this week. T.Y. Hilton is a top five receiver this and a must start. Reggie Wayne is a flex play this week. Coby Fleener is a top ten start this week since Dwayne Allen is out. The Colts defense is a top ten start this week and I expect them to do well.
New York Giants at Jacksonville Jaguars
Fantasy Relevance: 3 – Eli Manning is a top ten quarterback this week, and this matchup is great for him. Rashad Jennings is a top ten running back this week, and he should be great. Odell Beckham Jr. is a top ten receiver this week and a must start. Ruben Randle is a flex play this week, and I think he has some upside. Larry Donnell is a top ten tight end this week. The Giants offense should do well this week. The Giants defense is a top ten start and I like them a lot this week.
Dernard Robinson is a top ten running back this week, and the matchup is good. Cecil Shorts and Allen Hurns are wide receiver fours. Mercedes Lewis does not have much value this week, and is not relevant the rest of the year. The Jaguars defense should be avoided this week.
New Orleans Saints at Pittsburgh Steelers
Fantasy Relevance: 5 – Drew Brees is a top five start this week; he should do well even though he is away from home. Mark Ingram is a top ten running back this week and I like him a lot this week. Marques Colston and Kenny Stills are flex plays this week. Jimmy Graham is a must start tight end and I think he have a very good game. The Saints defense should be avoided in all formats.
Ben Roethlisberger is around the top five quarterbacks this week and has been terrific at home. Le’Veon Bell is one of the top running backs this week and will be great. Antonio Brown should be terrific this week and a must start. Martavis Bryant is a flex receiver this week. Heath Miller is a low tight end one this week. The Steelers defense is around the top fifteen and a sleeper this week but has some risk.
Oakland Raiders at St Louis Rams
Fantasy Relevance: 2 – Latavius Murray is a running back two if he plays, but he is not expected to. Darren McFadden is a running back if you are desperate, and has some value this week. James Jones and Andre Holmes are wide receiver fours but I would avoid them. I think Mychal Rivera bounces back this week and is a borderline top ten start. I would avoid the Raiders defense.
Tre Mason is a top fifteen running back and I like him a lot this week. Kenny Britt is a flex receiver. Jared Cook should be avoided in most leagues unless you are desperate. I do like the Rams defense this week, they are a top five start and even better if Murray is out.
New England Patriots at Green Bay Packers
Fantasy Relevance: 7 – Tom Brady is a top five start this week, he is a must start. Shane Verren and LaGarrette Blount are running back two material. They do have some risk though because the Patriots are unpredictable. Jonas Gray is a low end flex play. Julian Edelman is a top fifteen start this week, and I like him a lot. Brandon LaFell is a wide receiver two with some upside. Rob Grownkowski is a must start this week and should be great. If this game is close, I think all of the receivers will do great. I would avoid the Patriots defense this week because of how explosive the Packers could be.
Aaron Rodgers is a must start also. Eddie Lacy is a top five running back this week. Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb are top ten receivers this week and should both do well. Revis and Browner worry me some though. The Packers defense should be avoided also; this matchup seems like the high twenties or low thirties for both teams.
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs
Fantasy Relevance: 6 – Peyton Manning is a top five quarterback, I expect him to do really well. C.J. Anderson is a top ten start this week, and I think the Broncos will run a lot. Demaryius Thomas is a top five receiver this week. Emmanuel Sanders is a top ten receiver and should do great also. Julius Thomas is questionable but if he starts he is a top five tight end. The Broncos defense is around the top ten but I would avoid them. This game should be high scoring.
Alex Smith is a top ten quarterback and I think he will do well just because of how high scoring this game will be. Jammal Charles is a top five running back this week, and a must start. Dwayne Bowe is still a low end flex play or wide receiver three. Travis Kelce is a top ten start this week, The Chiefs defense should not be used in any circumstance.
Miami Dolphins at New York Jets
Fantasy Relevance: 4 – Ryan Tannehill is a top ten quarterback Lamar Miller is a running back two and I expect he will find success. Mike Wallace is a top fifteen receiver. Jarvis Landry is a flex play this week with some upside. Charles Clay is a top ten tight end this week. The Dolphins defense is a top five start this week and they should be great.
Chris Ivory is a flex play this week, I think he will be somewhat of a sleeper. Percy Harvin and Eric Decker are also in flex territory this week. The Jets defense should be avoided in all formats.
