DFS Week 5 Picks

Welcome to my weekly DFS value picks.  This is where I offer a list of players that according to their price and usage in their systems (targets and overall touches), are the best options to bring you high production at the lowest price, making them great value picks.  I will not be advising you to use the “Top Tier” players, as they are the players everybody knows about.  If you haven’t played DFS before, you want to pair a couple of these great value players with the more expensive players that you know will come through with great numbers week in and week out, to give you the highest point total possible and ideally give you a chance to win some cash!  Draft King prices are annotated by the DK next to the price  and FanDuel are FD.  So with that being said, let’s get it started!

You already know about Luck and DO NOT USE MALLETT.

Arian Foster vs Ind ($7,000DK – $8,200FD) – People may shy away from using him but he should get close to 20 touches in his second game back.

Frank Gore vs Hou ($5,000DK – $6,900FD) – The Colts may try to keep Luck from getting hit, by feeding it to Gore.

Keith Mumphery vs Ind ($3,000DK – $5,000FD) – Cecil Shorts is out and Nate Washington is questionable.  Somebody gonna have to lineup opposite of Hopkins.

With Dwayne Allen back, Fleener and Dwayne cancel each other out.

Neither defense are worth being used.

Drew Brees vs Phi ($7,200DK – $8,100FD) – Brees may not be 100% healthy, but with Cousins burning the Eagles secondary for 290 yards and a TD, Brees is still a good play.

Matt Ryan vs Wash ($6,700DK – $8,300FD) – Cheaper than the top tier but is capable of putting up top tier numbers.

Phillip Rivers vs Pit ($6,200DK – $7,500FD) – Threw for 350 yards and 3 TDs last week with 2 of his top 3 WRs getting hurt. Cheap price and gets Antonio Gates back.

Sam Bradford vs N.O ($6,000DK – $7,500FD) – The running game is none existent and he has plenty of weapons to put up big numbers, last week may have been the beginning.

Tyrod Taylor vs Tenn ($5,800DK – $7,500FD) – Very cheap price for someone who can do damage through the air and on the ground. KWilliams may miss the game, so more to be expected from Tyrod.

Jay Cutler vs KC ($5,300DK – $7,400FD) – May get Alshon Jeffrey back this week, KC is bad against the pass.

Blake Bortles vs TB ($5,100DK – $6,900FD) – Playing well so far this year and against Tampa at the price is a real good value pick.

Mike Vick vs SD ($5,100DK – $6,900FD) – He may not look great, but with Brown, Bell and Bryant coming back, could put up nice numbers.

Devonta Freeman vs Wash ($6,300DK – $7,600FD) – Keep riding the wave and see if he can keep it up.  The price is still low.

Mark Ingram vs Phi ($6,100DK – $8,000FD) – As Brees gets going his lanes will open and he is very involved in the passing game.

Justin Forsett vs Cle ($5,800DK – $7,200FD) – With Steve Smith out he should see a lot more opportunities in the passing game.  Dirt cheap price for an RB1.

Ronnie Hillman vs Oak ($4,900DK – $6,600FD) – Could see more touches than CJ and all he needs is one long one to make it worth it.

Dion Lewis vs Dal ($4,800DK- $6,900FD) – Threat for multiple catches in one of the best offenses in football, great value.

Danny Woodhead vs Pit ($4,600DK – $6,000FD) – 2 of the top 3 WRs may be out this week, could see a lot of passes headed his way.

T.J Yeldon vs TB ($4,400DK – $6,600FD) – Workhorse back that should see 15-20 touches each game.

Todd Gurley vs GB ($4,300DK – $6,700FD) – I have a feeling the Rams will try to keep Rogers on the sideline, by feeding the rock to Gurley.

C.J Spiller vs Phi ($3,800DK – $5,500FD) – Finally healthy caught 5 balls for 99 yards last week.  If he can do that at this price, that’s how you win.

Chris Thompson vs Atl ($3,300DK – $5,100FD) – 3rd down and up-tempo back on a team that may be down in this game.  Real good value for someone that may have 4-6 catches.

Boobie Dixon vs Tenn ($3,000DK – $4,500FD) – Karlos Williams may be out, that would mean Boobie would be the starter at $3,000.  Great value if that is the case.

Randall Cobb vs STL ($7,500DK – $8,200FD) – Aaron Rodgers favorite target has 15 catches 200 yards and 3 tds at home so far.

Keenan Allen vs Pitt ($7,200DK – $7,700FD) – Stevie Johnson and Malcolm Floyd are possibly out.  15 targets for Keenan would not surprise me.

Julian Edelman vs Dal ($7,000DK – $7,700FD) – PPR monster.  WR1 in one of the best offenses in football.

Alshon Jeffrey vs KC ($6,500DK – $7,600FD) – If he comes back this week he will be facing a bad pass D in Kansas City.  Jay Cutler will be more than happy to throw it his way.

James Jones vs STL ($5,700DK – $6,400FD) – All he does is catch TDs.  At this price you could do a lot worse.

Allen Robinson vs TB ($5,500DK – $6,200FD) – Last week he was covered by Vontae Davis so Hurns got all the love.  I expect Allen to bounce back.

Kendall Wright vs Buff ($5,400DK – $5,900FD) – PPR mini monster and serves as a security blanket for Mariotta.

Michael Crabtree vs Den ($4,600DK – $5,900FD) – Aquib Talib will more than likely cover Cooper.  Somebody else gonna have to catch Derek Carr’s passes when they start trailing.

Rueben Randle vs SF ($4,400DK – $5,900FD) – While all the attention is on OBJ, Randle will get enough looks.

Leonard Hankerson vs Wash ($4,000DK – $6,000FD) – Matt Ryan can’t throw them all to JJ, Hankerson will get the rest of the targets.

Willie Snead vs Phi ($3,000DK – $5,300FD) – Snead is the kind of player that if he hits at this price and you picked the right players with the higher price tag, you should be winning some money.  Brees is looking for him.

Charles Clay vs Tenn ($4,100DK – $5,700 FD) – Watkins, McCoy and possibly Karlos Williams may be out this week.  Plenty of targets coming his way.

Delanie Walker vs Buff ($3,800DK – $5,400FD) – The other security blanket for Mariotta, Delanie could easily have monster day for a very low price.

Gary Barnidge vs Bal ($3,800DK – $5,400FD) – Solid receiving option for a team that doesn’t really have a WR1.

Larry Donnell vs SF ($2,900DK – $5,200FD) – Daniel Fells is on I.R meaning Donnell will see virtually all the plays at TE.  Big red-zone target.

Giants vs SF ($2,900DK – $4,300FD) – Kaepernick is a turnover machine, Giants may capitalize.

Baltimore vs Cle ($2,900DK – $4,500FD) – Josh McCown still isn’t a good QB.  Baltimore will have chances at turnovers.

Kansas City vs Chi ($2,800DK – $4,600FD) – Cutler has been known to get wild at times, with K.C front seven, it may happen often.

Jacksonville vs TB ($2,700DK – $4,300FD) – Winston hasn’t looked too sharp to begin his career, Jacksonville’s D is playing good enough to take advantage.
