DFS Week 9 Picks

Welcome to my weekly DFS value picks.  This is where I offer a list of players that according to their price and usage in their systems (targets and overall touches), are the best options to bring you high production at the lowest price, making them great value picks.  I will not be advising you to use the “Top Tier” players, as they are the players everybody knows about.  If you haven’t played DFS before, you want to pair a couple of these great value players with the more expensive players that you know will come through with great numbers week in and week out, to give you the highest point total possible and ideally give you a chance to win some cash!  Draft King prices are annotated by the DK next to the price  and FanDuel are FD. So with that being said, let’s get it started!

So how did you do this past week? Hope you all won some cash and had some fun. Below are the players that I advised for you to use last week broken down into “Hits” and “Misses”. There were 17 Hits and 13 Misses for those of y’all keeping score at home.

I like to say that the Misses didn’t perform bad, they just ran out of time to perform better. With that being said, let’s move on to Week 9!

QBs FOR THURSDAY’S GAME

Andy Dalton vs Cle ($6,200DK – $8,200FD) – Top 5 QB in fantasy should feast on the Browns and is cheaper than most high caliber QBs.

RBs FOR THURSDAY’S GAME

Jeremy Hill vs Cle ($5,200DK – $6,800FD) – The Browns are horrible against the run. Bengals may choose to establish Hill all game.

Duke Johnson JR. vs Cin ($4,000DK – $5,900FD) – Averaging 5 catches per game his last 6 games, the Browns should be getting the ball in Duke’s hands against the Bengals.

WRs FOR THURSDAY’S GAME

Travis Benjamin vs Cin ($5,200DK – $6,000FD) – When Manziel plays, it just seems like they take 3-4 shots downfield to Travis. All he needs is one to make it worth it.

Marvin Jones vs Cle ($4,300DK – $5,200FD) – He runs very hot and cold most of the time. But at the price, if he gets hot, it’ll make your lineup look even better.

TEs FOR THURSDAY’S GAME

Gary Barnidge vs Cin ($4,800DK – $6,600FD) – Browns number one target should have a nice game as the Bengals are near the bottom against TEs.

D/ST FOR THURSDAY’S GAME

Cin vs Cle ($3,200DK – $5,000FD) – Manziel could be crazy good or crazy bad. Even a little in between could still be a good day for Cincy’s D.

SUNDAY-MONDAY GAMES

TOP TIER QB

Matt Ryan vs S.F ($7,100DK – $8,000FD) – San Francisco is a mess. Atlanta is trying to right their ship. Ryan should a nice day and is goin for cheaper than the top guys.

Phillip Rivers vs Chi ($6,900DK – $8,600FD) – Keenan Allen may be gone, but so is the Chargers OLine. They can’t run the ball. Rivers will continue to air it out.

Ben Roethlisberger vs Oak ($6,600DK – $8,300FD) – Some people may fade Ben till he gets healthy. Without Bell there, he will have to air it more. Oakland is not good against the pass.

BOTTOM TIER QB

Derek Carr vs Pitt ($5,500DK – $7,000FD) – Carr may have proved that he is match up proof with the weapons he has. Super cheap and 300 yards and 2+ TDs is a pretty sure thing.

Blake Bortles vs NYJ ($5,400DK – $7,600FD) – The Jets are tough, but they showed last week they can get passed on and Blake has some nice weapons to throw to. Garbage time stats count too.

Jay Cutler vs S.D ($5,200DK – $7,100FD) – Without Forte, Jay may need to throw more. He still has Jeffrey and Bennett to throw to, so his stats should remain good.

TOP TIER RB

Todd Gurley vs Minn ($6,900DK – $9,000FD) – Don’t stop till he reaches too expensive. I don’t know what too expensive for his production is but he ain’t there yet.

Mark Ingram vs Tenn ($6,500DK – $7,700FD) – With KRobinson hurt, Ingram should get all the goal-line carries. N.O finally looking like they are getting their offense back.

Dion Lewis vs Wash ($6,400DK – $7,400FD) – Involved in the run game and the pass game. 17Cths and 2TDs his last 3 games played.

MIDDLE TIER RB

Chris Ivory vs Jax ($5,900DK – $7,500FD) – With RFitzpatrick banged up, this could be a big game for Ivory. Real cheap for the production he is capable of having.

Deangelo Williams vs Oak ($5,500DK – $6,500FD) – Before LBell came back from suspension DWill was a top 3 back. He will have the backfield all to himself to do it again.

Danny Woodhead vs Chi ($4,800DK – $6,000FD) – Keenan Allen and Branden Oliver out for the year. A lot of those opportunities may go to Woodhead.

Darren McFadden vs Phi ($4,300DK – $6,500FD) – Bell cow back behind the best oLine in football. His price still low and he should see pay dirt this week as well as a 3-5 catches.

C.J Anderson vs Ind ($4,100DK – $6,000FD) – The Broncos are trying to establish their run game and the Colts may be a good team to do it against.

Jeremy Langford vs S.D ($4,000DK – $6,400FD) – Will inherit all the work from Forte while he is gone. Chargers are near the bottom against the run so Langford should see plenty of work.

TOP TIER WR

Alshon Jeffrey vs S.D ($6,700DK – $7,900FD) – Since getting healthy, Jeffrey has been beastin for 18Cths, 263ReY and 2TDs his last 2 games. With Forte out and Royal questionable, Jeffrey should continue.

MIDDLE TIER WR

Brandin Cooks vs Tenn ($5,800DK – $7,100FD) – His last 4 games, Cooks has gotten 21Cths, 300ReY and 3 TDs. They are finally getting things together in N.O and Cooks should be a big part of it.

Martavis Bryant vs Oak ($5,500DK – $6,900FD) – Oakland is allowing the 3rd most yards to receivers this season. That makes Bryant a real nice play at his price with Ben back.

Allen Hurns vs NYJ ($5,300DK – $6,800FD) – Hurns has gotten in the red zone 5 straight games. With ARobinson being on Revis Island, I expect Hurns to make it 6.

Michael Crabtree vs Pitt ($4,900DK – $5,800FD) – Did you know that Crab actually leading Cooper in catches in the season 40-38 ? Yup, and he is way cheaper while drawing the lesser DB every week.

Willie Snead vs Tenn ($4,800DK – $6,100FD) – Snead should continue to roll along with the rest of the offense this week.

Marques Wilson vs S.D ($4,000DK – $4,800FD) – If Royal doesn’t play, Wilson will jump in to a shoot-out with potential of getting 80ReY and a score.

BOTTOM TIER WR

Malcolm Floyd vs Chi ($3,600DK – $6,100FD) – Keenan Allen is done for the year and the Chargers will continue to throw a ton, under 4k, the price is great!

Stevie Johnson vs Chi ($3,100DK – $5,400FD) – Keenan Allen is done for the year and the Chargers will continue to throw a ton, under 4k, the price is great!

TE

Martellus Bennett vs S.D ($4,900DK – $5,400FD) – With Forte out, Martellus may see a lot of those dump off opportunities, making him a great play this week.

Antonio Gates vs Chi ($4,700DK – $6,000FD) – With KAllen out, Gates may see ALL the red zone throws go his way.

Jordan Reed vs N.E ($4,500DK – $5,700FD) – Kirk Cousins loves throwing to his TE. Reed may have a monster game while the Redskins will more than likely be throwing to come back.

Delanie Walker vs N.O ($4,800DK – $5,500FD) – Kendall Wright may miss some time, making Delanie a great play for a monster game against a horrible defense.

D/ST

Atl vs S.F ($3,400DK – $4,900FD) – Blaine Gabbert will be starting at QB!!!

Den vs Ind ($3,000DK – $5,300FD) – Andrew Luck leads the league with 12INTs thrown.

N.E vs Wash ($3,300DK – $4,900FD) – KCousins has been known to turn the ball over when he is forced to throw a lot.
