Welcome back everybody to Javimente’s DFS weekly picks! This is where I offer a list of players that according to their price and usage in their systems (targets and overall touches), are the best options to bring you high production at the lowest price, making them great value picks. A player hitting his value would mean that that player scored 3 times their price, for example, $4,000 x 3 =12pts. I will not be advising you to use the “Top Tier” players, as they are the players everybody knows about. If you haven’t played DFS before, you want to pair a couple of these great value players with the more expensive players that you know will come through with great numbers week in and week out, to give you the highest point total possible and ideally give you a chance to win some cash! DraftKing prices are annotated by the DK next to the price. So with that being said, let’s get it started!
My picks went 19-14 last week. Let’s keep the momentum going this week!
MID TIER QB (6K)
Phillip Rivers vs N.O ($6,900DK) – Going against a secondary that is ranked 30th in the league in pass coverage, this game is sure to have a lot of scoring opportunities. Rivers should have big numbers this weekend.
Kirk Cousins vs Cle ($6,500DK) – Cousins, who is averaging nearly 330 PaY per game, should have no problem shredding the Browns apart this weekend.
Carson Palmer vs L.A ($6,300DK) – The Cards got embarrassed in Buffalo last weekend and they will be looking to get back to .500. Palmer should have a nice bounce back game Sunday.
BOTTOM TIER QB(5K-4K)
Joe Flacco vs Oak ($5,900DK) – The Raiders have allowed the 3rd most FFP to quarterbacks this season. I see Flacco taking advantage of a bad secondary this Sunday.
Dak Prescott vs SF ($5,700DK) – Dak has been careful with the ball early in his career, coupled that with his running ability, he should be able to hit value this weekend.
Trevor Siemian vs T.B ($5,400DK) – Siemian showed everybody last week what he could do when he gets in sync with his receivers. His price still pretty low so id take advantage of it.
Brian Hoyer vs Det ($5,00DK) – Hoyer didn’t have a bad game last week and the Lions have a pretty bad secondary. Hoyer could put up some nice numbers again this week.
MID TIER RB (6K-5K)
Ezekiel Elliott vs S.F ($6,900DK) – If Dez misses the game, Zeke may see more touches and more men in the box. But with his skill and that offensive line, I wouldn’t be too worried.
Demarco Murray vs Hou ($6,800DK) – Murray is the focal point in this offense and he is money PPR. He has at least 5 catches in every game this year.
C.J Anderson vs T.B ($6,500DK) – Anderson has no competition for touches out of the backfield and should continue to put up good numbers this week against a Buc’s defense that has allowed 3 rushing TDs this year.
Melvin Gordon vs N.O ($6,300DK) – Did you see what the Falcons just did to the Saints on the ground this past weekend? Gordon has zero competition in the backfield and should be able to put up some great numbers.
Chris Sims vs Den ($5,600DK) – Sims who caught 6 passes for 69ReY last week should see similar usage out of the backfield and put up enough to hit value.
Legarette Blount vs Buf ($5,00DK) – In possibly the last game where Blount is featured, Blount should see over 20 carries again this weekend and 2-3 GL carries.
BOTTOM TIER RB (4K-3K)
Isaiah Crowell vs Wash ($4,400DK) – Washington is pretty bad against the run and Crowell gets 59% of the Browns rushing attempts. The Browns may try to control the game and give Crowell running opportunities.
Carlos Hyde vs Dal ($4,200DK) – The Dallas defense is 28th in the league allowing 4.8 yards per rush. The 49ers will try to exploit that on Sunday.
Dwayne Washington vs Chi ($3,800DK) – The new early down back for the Lions should see his usage grow this week and may see a couple GL carries too.
Jordan Howard vs Dt ($3,700DK) – The new starting RB for the Bears with Langford out may not give the job back as he is threat running the and catching the ball.
Orleans Darkwa vs Min ($3,000DK) – If Jennings is unable to play, Darkwa will inherit the starting job for the week and could put up enough points to cover value.
MIDDLE TIER WR (6K-5K)
Willie Snead vs S.D ($6,600DK) – Snead has 14Cths, 226ReY and 2TDs in 2 games played this year. He is a big part of a high scoring offense and put should put up good numbers and what should be a high scoring game.
Emanuel Sanders vs T.B ($6,400DK) – The Bucs don’t have a very good secondary and Sanders is coming off of a big week 3 performance. He should roll into a big day on Sunday.
Desean Jackson vs GB ($6,200DK) – DJax has averaged 17 per catch this year and should have no problems versus a beat up Browns secondary.
Travis Benjamin vs Ind ($5,900DK) – Rivers will be throwing it all around this weekend and Benjamin will get his fair share of targets versus the Saints.
Mike Wallace vs Jax ($5,700DK) – The Raiders secondary has allowed the most FFP to receivers this year. Flacoo should find Wallace down field a couple times in this game.
BOTTOM TIER WR (4K-3K)
Tyrell Williams vs N.O ($4,400DK) – Williams leads the Chargers in targets so far this season. He should get plenty of targets against the Saints Sunday.
Terrell Pryor vs Wash ($4,300DK) – Pryor’s confidence should be through the roof after last week’s performance and his role in the offense will grow more and more every week.
Jamison Crowder vs Cle ($4,200DK) – Crowder has caught a TD the last 2 games. That streak should continue this week against a bad Browns secondary.
Cole Beasley vs S.F ($3,900DK) – If Dez can’t go, look for Beasley to continue the work he has been doing. He has caught 20 of 25 passes his way and is looking more and more comfortable with Dak.
Michael Thomas vs S.D ($3,800DK) – Thomas has hit value each week so far and should continue against a bad S.D secondary.
Kendal Wright vs Hou ($3,000DK) – Finally fully healthy, Wright can be a PPR monster. Hopefully he retains the role he has had in the past.
Marquis Goodwin vs N.E ($3,000DK) – With Watking out for the foreseeable future, Goodwin may be the guy the Bills use to take some shots downfield.
BOTTOM TIER TE (3K)
Dennis Pitta vs Oak ($3,900DK) – The Raiders have allowed the 9th most FFP to TEs this season. He should be heavily involved on Sunday.
Eric Ebron vs Chi ($3,700DK) – A top target of Stafford’s week in and week out, he should see plenty of targets against a lowly Bears secondary.
Coby Fleener vs S.D ($3,200DK) – Fleener had his coming out party last weekend and has a chance to put up similar numbers this weekend.
Zach Miller vs Det ($2,700DK) – The Lions defense has already allowed 10 TDs to TEs this season. Hoyer should find Miller for at least one.
Hunter Henry vs N.O ($2,700DK) – Henry is making the most of his opportunity with Gates out and could see a lot of targets coming his way against the Saints.
Det vs Chi ($3,100DK) – Hoyer has been known to turn the rock over from time to time.
NYJ vs Sea ($2,8000DK) – Seattle tend to play worse on the road and their offensive line still figuring things out.
S.F vs Dal ($2,600DK) – No Dez means the pressure will be on Dak and Zeke more and the 49ers may force them into some mistakes.
Good luck with your picks this week. If I helped you win, you’re welcome! If I helped you lose, you just didn’t use the right combination of guys I gave you. HAHAHAHAHA #GetAtMe
