Javimente’s Week 5 DFS Picks

Welcome back everybody to Javimente’s DFS weekly picks!  This is where I offer a list of players that according to their price and usage in their systems (targets and overall touches), are the best options to bring you high production at the lowest price, making them great value picks.  A player hitting his value would mean that that player scored 3 times their price, for example, $4,000 x 3 =12pts.  I will not be advising you to use the “Top Tier” players, as they are the players everybody knows about.  If you haven’t played DFS before, you want to pair a couple of these great value players with the more expensive players that you know will come through with great numbers week in and week out, to give you the highest point total possible and ideally give you a chance to win some cash!  DraftKings prices are annotated by the DK next to the price.  So with that being said, let’s get it started!

My picks went 18-15 last week.  Let’s keep the momentum going this week!
SUNDAY-MONDAY GAMES
MID TIER QB (6K)

Phillip Rivers vs Oak ($6,900DK) – The Raiders have allowed the 3rd most FFP to QBs this year.  This game should have a lot of scoring early and often.

Derek Carr vs S.D ($6,800DK) – Carr who has 9TDs and 1 INT this year, will be going against a bad secondary that will be missing their top 2 DBs.  Carr will eat on Sunday.

Eli Manning vs G.B ($6,000DK) – Sam Shields will miss the game for G.B and will all the controversy following OBJ, id be surprised if Eli doesn’t have a big game while feeding OBJ the rock.  They gonna have to keep up with the Packes as well.

BOTTOM TIER QB(5K-4K)

Jameis Winston vs Car ($5,800DK) – Winston’s season has been up and down statistically, but on Monday night, he will have no running game.  It will be Winston all night long and should be able to hit value.

Derek Anderson vs T.B ($5,500DK) – D.A is a very serviceable back up and has the weapons and ability to do work Monday night.

Brian Hoyer vs Det ($5,000DK) – Hoyer has thrown for over 300 yards and 2 TDs in each of his two starts.  He will be able to do that again against a very bad Colts secondary.
MID TIER RB (6K-5K)

Frank Gore vs Chi ($5,700DK) – Gore has gotten at least 20 touches in the last 2 games and should continue to see the bulk of the work in the backfield against a defense that is bad against RBs.

Jordan Howard vs Ind ($5,200DK) – Jordan Howard had 26 touches in his 1st start of his career and should see similar volume of touches Sunday.

Devonta Freeman vs Den ($5,000DK) – Yes he is playing against Denver, but he may be able to get the full load with Coleman possibility not being able to play that much due to his sickle cell blood condition.
BOTTOM TIER RB (4K-3K)

Theo Riddick vs Phil ($4,900DK) – Riddick may get a heavier load with DWash not being healthy, that could mean a lot more catches out of the backfield.

Terrence West vs Wash ($4,800DK) – The Skins allow the 2nd most FFP to RBs so far this season.  With West taking over the primary RB spot, He could be in for a big day.

James White vs Cle ($3,900DK) – Could see an uptick in usage with Brady back and while DLew still out.

Jaquizz Rodgers vs Car ($3,000DK) – Rodgers will start Monday night.  I see more than a handful dump offs coming his direction and he could take one to the house.
MIDDLE TIER WR (6K-5K)

Michael Crabtree vs S.D ($6,900DK) – All the attention goes Cooper’s way.  But all the targets seem to be going Crab’s way.  He has caught 7 or more passes in 3 of his 4 games so far.

Jordan Matthews vs Det ($6,800DK) – Should see plenty of targets versus a very exploitable secondary.  JMatt also sees his fair share of red-zone targets.

Terrel Pryor vs N.E ($5,800DK) – The Browns may have to get fancy to beat the Pats, and there is no better player to get fancy with the T.P!  He could see time at RB and QB as well.

Sterling Shepard vs G.B ($5,500DK) – Shepard should do some damage against a Packers secondary missing some pieces.
BOTTOM TIER WR (4K-3K)

Quincy Enunwa vs  ($4,400DK) – The should have to throw to keep up with the Steelers and with Decker out, Enunwa will see a lot more targets.

Eddie Royal vs Ind ($4,200DK) – If Royal is healthy enough to play, he will see an uptick in targets with KWhite in the I.R.

Robert Woods vs L.A ($3,900DK) – The Rams have a llowed the 4th most receiving yards to WRs this season and Woods is the only dependable WR Buffalo has.

Brice Butler vs Cin ($3,500DK) – With Dez missing the game and the Cowboys possibly having to play catch up, Brice may be able to have a nice day.

Cameron Meredith vs Ind ($3,000DK) – Strictly if Royal misses the game, Meredith will see a lot more playing time.

Charles Johnson vs Hou ($3,000DK) – If Diggs misses the game, CJ may get a chance to build on his nice game last week.
BOTTOM TIER TE (3K)

Martellus Bennett vs Cle ($3,700DK) – Cleveland has allowed the 6th most FFP to TEs this year and with Brady back and Gronk not being bak to his old self, MB may have some opportunities.

Zach Miller vs Ind ($3,600DK) – With KWhite in the IR and Royal possibly missing the game, Miller could see a lot more targets.

Zach Ertz vs Det ($3,500DK) – The Lions have allowed 6 TDs to TEs already this season.

Hunter Henry vs N.O ($2,700DK) – If Gates misses the game, Henry should have another big week in this possible shoot-out.

Cameron Brate vs Car ($2,900DK) – Brate has become the Bucs number 2 receiver from the TE position.  In a game where Winston may be throwing a lot, Brate should see a lot of targets goin his way.

Will Tye vs G.B ($2,600DK) – The Pack have been bad versus TEs and the Giants should be throwing a lot, he could be a very sneaky play.

Good luck with your picks this week.  If I helped you win, you’re welcome!  If I helped you lose, you just didn’t use the right combination of guys I gave you.  HAHAHAHAHA #GetAtMe
